You plan something; you organize how you're going to go about it; and you do it. Very often, you'll follow this pattern of planning, organizing and doing without even thinking about it.

With my home-based business, you plan, organize and do. And when you make a profit, you keep every dollar because you're not working to make someone else rich. You're working as a business owner on behalf of yourself and your family.

Running your own business doesn't mean you're alone
This is one of the fears people have about starting their own business. They worry they won't have help and support. Jerry and I met while both working on a cruise ship traveling the World.

Originally from the UK, we moved to Australia 10 days after we got married. After running other peoples businesses, we decided to set up businesses of our own. Jerry ran two Graphic Art studios and I had a Hair, Nail and Beauty Salon. In the subsequent years we had 4 beautiful children, our life was chaotic to say the least. Freedom from conventional work routines. When you work at home, you don't have to commute; you can wear what you like; and you don't have to be nice to co-workers who annoy you.

Organize each day to suit you. You can work at whatever time of day you prefer for the hours you choose. For part-time, I'd suggest 10-15 hours per week; for full-time, 20-30 hours. You need never miss an important family occasion again because you can build your working hours around it. And you don't have to ask permission from anyone to do so. After all, you're the boss.

Unfortunately, many home-based businesses rely on practices that have little credibility in the legitimate commercial world. I want to show you my business has nothing to do with any of these. I know this sounds negative but I want you to understand that my business is tested and proven using a simple and highly successful model. Things my business doesn't expect you to do

Meetings. I don't want you spending money organizing meetings at home or hotels where the majority of people attend for the free food and drink.

Cold sales calls. Few people enjoy making cold sales calls. After all, the people you contact have no or little interest in the product or service you're trying to sell. I don't ask you to make cold sales calls.

Buying inventory. This is a great way for the supplier to make money but not you. In effect, the supplier leaves you with a pile of inventory littering your house without any guarantee of selling it on.

Getting involved with MLM. MLM is a great concept, it does work and people do succeed, but it does take time and you have to maintain your teams, which can be a challenge at times.

Sending spam. One day, the businesses sending out spam e-mails will realize most computers have junk mail filters. Sending spam e-mail really is a waste of time.

Working without support. It's a challenge to go it alone with a home-based business so it's comforting to know that with me you have the support of a mentor. But some home-based businesses give you nothing in the way of help.

Working with inexperienced colleagues. Other home-based businesses offer you support from associates who turn out to be people like you who've started up. How does this help you? I don't do this.

1. Is the business hard to run?
No. I've made a point of ensuring that the business is straightforward. I don't want you sidetracked with any problems: I want you earning money as quickly as possible. You have to put in regular work, however, because the business isn't a free ride to riches. But you control when you work and for how long.

2. Is the business related to multi level marketing?
No. This business works in a completely different manner, people come to you through your marketing, not you making a list of prospects and calling to see if they are interested.

3. Am I qualified to run the business?
You need to answer this for yourself. All I can say is that you don't need formal business qualifications but you do need the right approach. I can best sum up this approach as follows: You must be determined to make money, change your life for the better, and gain personal and financial freedom.

4. Will I need to talk business with people?
You won't need to make sales pitches and you won't have to explain about a service or a product. On the other hand, you will have to talk to people about day-to-day aspects of the business. This is inevitable but not complex. Plus I'm available to give advice as required.

How much do you want to earn? I don't mean to be smart by turning the question back on you but who am I to tell you what your income will be? 9. Can I really believe this isn't another too-good-to-be-true get-rich-quick scheme?
It isn't. If I said you'll become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams by doing very little work, then you should definitely be concerned. But I'm not saying this. What I'm offering is an authentic home-based business - and like any other genuine business, you need to work at it.

10. Is this a sales job?
No. This is a business run by you. You will be an entrepreneur in command of your finances and your life.
